This Agreement sets forth the general terms and conditions and privacy policy of your use of the Quito Implementation Platform.


You can use this platform anonymously to read the available information about partners and commitments. In order to interact with this platform you must complete the registration form and verify your email address. The information collected is used to contact you about events, updates and activity in your profile. You may also provide other information in your profile for better visibility and enhanced experience.

If you join the platform, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under the account and any other actions taken in connection with it. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized uses of your account or any other breaches of security. We will not be liable for any acts or omissions by you, including any damages of any kind incurred as a result of such acts or omissions. We may suspend, disable, or delete your account (or any part thereof) if we determine that you have violated any provision of this Agreement or that your conduct or content would tend to damage our reputation and goodwill.

User content

This platform contains information added by partners such as commitments and media attached to those commitments, collaborations on commitments and the descriptions of those collaborations and profile information/description. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content that other partners publish.

You shall have sole responsibility for the accuracy, quality, integrity, legality, reliability, appropriateness, and intellectual property ownership or right to use of all submitted Content. We may, but have no obligation to, monitor Content on the platform submitted or created by you. Without limiting any of those representations or warranties, we have the right, though not the obligation, to, in our own sole discretion, refuse or remove any Content that, in our reasonable opinion, violates any of our policies or is in any way harmful or objectionable.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We only have access to information that you voluntarily give us via the Registration form, the Add Commitment form, the Join commitment form. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new features, events or activity in your profile.

The following information will be available publicly to the platform users:

  • Your name (Required)
  • Your city and country  (Required)
  • Your type of organization (Required)
  • Your lead partner (If selected)
  • Your organization's activity  (If added)
  • Your commitments
  • Commitments you have joined

Besides the public profile, bear in mind that those interactions also publish information in the platform:

  • When you add a commitment: all the information provided will be available publicly.
  • When you join a commitment: your type of contribution and the description of that contribution will be available publicly.

You can do the following regarding to your information:

  • See the stored data about you by going to the “Update Profile” section on your profile.
  • See your public information by going to your profile URL.
  • Change/correct any data by going to the “Update Profile” section on your profile.
  • Remove collaborators from the commitments you created
  • Have us delete any data we have about you by sending a request to asking us to delete your profile and data


Wherever we collect sensitive information that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment and your private information is only visible to our technology staff administrators and high level managers.

We perform regular backups of the platform's content and will do our best to ensure completeness and accuracy of these backups. In the event of the hardware failure or data loss we will restore backups automatically to minimize the impact and downtime.


We use "cookies" on the website and they are not linked to any personally identifiable information. It is just used to maintain your session in your browser.

Some of our business partners may use cookies on our website (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

When you use the platform you may encounter links to external websites some of them published by partners. We encourage our partners to be aware when they leave our website and to read the privacy statements of any other website that collects personally identifiable information. We reserve the right to modify this Agreement or its policies relating to the platform at any time, effective upon posting of an updated version of this Agreement on the website. When we do we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of the platform after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.

Acceptance of these terms

You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and agree to all its terms and conditions. By using the platform you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to use or access the platform.
